Tour Description
At 2:40pm we'll pick you up in the lobby at your accommodation (hotel or guesthouses) then continue visit
Tonle Sap Lake and take a boat trip to discover Kampong Pluk floating community where you can see local lifestyle on the surface of water, high stilted houses, fishing boats and mangrove forest.
Tonle Sap is the most productive body of fresh water in Cambodia. In rainy season, Tonle Sap Lake swells to 12,000 km² the majority of water is from Mekong River. During the dry season, the lake shrinks to as small as 2,500 km² draining back into Mekong River. Each year, millions of fish come to spawn in the seasonally flooded forest surrounding the lake, attracting a myriad of water birds as well as people, who have settled in villages along the shores and who live with the rhythm of the water. This ecosystem was classified as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1997.
The first we'll top at a Buddhist monastery and few minutes walk to see around the beauty of a local village's and take some photos, then ride on a boat to the floating markets, crocodile farm and enjoy your sunset on the boat at the fresh lake before heading home. Around 6 pm when the sun getting darks and we'll take you back to your accommodation by a local tuk- tuk or minivan.
